What are the secrets to making sure your rocket will really fly? You and your rocket team will build simple–and then more complex–rockets and fly them. Learn how rockets work, proper construction techniques, rocket design, and stability basics. Safety standards will be covered with a nationally certified rocketry instructor. Equipment and parts provided courtesy of the Piedmont Student Launch Team.
David Oxford and the Piedmont Student Launch Team were selected as one of 60 national teams to participate in NASA’s experiential program to design, fabricate, test, and launch high-power rockets and scientific payloads, conduct educational outreach, and complete real-world comprehensive design reviews, all overseen by NASA staff, engineers and scientists. David Oxford is certified by National Association of Rocketry and Tripoli Rocketry Association.
