Mix It Up: Glasslike Art Creations with Resin (6th-9th)

ID : 10958
« back to classes page
What on earth is resin? Magical, non-toxic, epoxy resin goes from slime-like to strong and clear, preserving your artistic creation forever. You can combine color, texture, shapes, and weird objects into your own design. Cover your own unique collage composed of mylar, magazine pictures, unusual objects, and more! Discover how art meets science when chemical reactions from the heating process create an indestructible see-through coating. This academy is offered in collaboration with McGuffey Art Center, one of the oldest artist-run cooperative art centers in the country.
Polly Breckenridge is a McGuffey Art Center studio artist and art instructor at the Village School. She has taught art for over two decades and holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in art education from Virginia Commonwealth University.
