« back to classes page
This class serves as an introduction or continued exploration into the two modes of production for three-dimensional (3D) printing. Learn the joys and pitfalls of creating specifically for 3D printing models. Students will focus on basic precision modeling with additive and substantive geometric solids, and encouraged to try organic modeling in Zbrush Core Mini, Sculptris, and or WebGL sculpting from Nomad Sculpt. These programs are like creating with clay in the computer and produce results like traditional sculpture that you can see applied in characters for games and movies. In addition, the creation of mechanical parts and even functioning joints for action figures or dolls will be explored!
