Are you curious about the dynamic ecosystem of biotechnology and pharmaceutical manufacturing in Central Virginia? Do you want to explore the diverse career pathways available in this high-growth sector? This course provides direct insight into the specific knowledge, skills, and technical competencies currently in high demand by regional employers.

Through a series of seven weekly, on-site industry tours, students will connect with regional companies and industry professionals. These experiential tours are complemented by asynchronous online professional development. Students will refine their portfolios, enhance their LinkedIn presence, develop their job search strategies, and strengthen their professional networks.


Course Format

  • Industry Site Visits: Seven two-hour company tours.

  • Course Structure: Hybrid. Combines required in-person site visits with asynchronous online coursework and career-building modules.
