Step into a structured, supportive clinical experience designed to help you confidently meet ARRT Post-Primary Pathway requirements in CT or MRI. With guided placement, hands-on training, and real-world patient interaction, this package gives you the clinical foundation you need to advance your imaging career.
What’s Included
  • Expert guidance on registering for the ARRT Post-Primary Pathway
  • Up to 500 hours of clinical placement at affiliated sites
    • Complete in up to 7 months
    • 20+ hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
  • Supportive clinical learning environment with experienced technologists
  • Assistance with ARRT clinical procedure tracking
  • Clinical sites located in Charlottesville, Albemarle, and Waynesboro
  • Additional affiliated facilities may be added as partnerships grow
Investment
  • Tuition: $2,229
  • Required additional costs:
    • Background check, drug screen, compliance tracking: $215
    • Trajecsys clinical tracking (1-year): $100
    • BLS CPR certification: approx. $100
    • Virginia state license (if applicable): $130–$180
    • Immunizations/physical exam: varies by insurance
Eligibility & Requirements
To participate, students must:
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Meet all clinical compliance requirements before placement
  • Hold current BLS CPR certification
  • Meet essential functions and technical standards
  • Attend program and clinical orientation
  • Maintain compliance throughout the experience
What to Expect in the Clinical Environment
You’ll gain real-world experience through:
  • Direct patient positioning and hands-on imaging workflow
  • Communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
  • Standing/walking for up to 8 hours per day
  • Exposure to infectious diseases, terminally ill or combative patients, and other medical hazards
  • Assigned rotations at affiliated clinical sites
