The solar power industry is a rapidly growing field! Prepare for an entry-level position in the green energy economy constructing solar panel farms for utility companies and independent contractors to help ease dependence on fossil fuels. Topics include construction industry safety, safe us of hand and power tools, solar photovoltaics, solar equipment, system installation, workplace communication, accountability and teamwork. 

Upon completion, students are eligible to sit for the Solar Photovoltaic Installation Technician credential exam offered by Solar Hands-On Instructional NEtwork for Excellence (SHINE).
