The ServSafe Program prepares you for the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Exam. Review the importance of food safety, good personal hygiene, time and temperature control, preventing cross-contamination, cleaning and sanitizing, safe food preparation, receiving and storing food plus methods of thawing, cooking, cooling, and reheating food. HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and food safety regulations, based on FDA 2013 Food Code and local requirements are also covered. ServSafe Manager Textbook: Seventh Edition with online exam voucher an additional $68.

ONLY STUDENTS WITH EXAM VOUCHERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO TAKE THE ONLINE CERTIFICATION EXAM. Exam vouchers (without the text) are available at https://www.servsafe.com/access/SS/Catalog/ProductDetail/SSONLINEX for an additional $36.  This should be purchased prior to class start date with a credit card.    Notes about ServSafe Registration Purchased Exam Access Codes will be emailed directly to the purchaser’s email address. The person taking the class needs to create ServSafe account to purchase the exam voucher (they will use this same account when taking the test). Textbook/Voucher Purchase options through PVCC The combined textbooks and exam voucher packets can be purchased at the PVCC bookstore for $86.50.
