ID : 10974
« back to classes page
Transform your story idea into a one-of-a-kind book! You will be able to use everything from unusual small objects (e.g., feathers, candy wrappers, stickers, photos, toy pieces, or another material of your choosing), your own images, palette of paper types, patterning, and collage to create your book design. You will learn all about bookmaking and how to transform mixed media materials into a simple hardcover three-dimensional book. This academy is offered in collaboration with McGuffey Art Center, one of the oldest artist-run cooperative art centers in the country.
L. Michelle Geiger is a McGuffey studio artist and has been teaching art for over 20 years. She has degrees in book arts and printmaking from the University of Virginia and a background in marine biology.
